Plastered in Wax 9 am - Noon
Patricia professes encaustic to be a perfect partner for many other mediums. Plaster is one of her favorites to marry to this medium! In this workshop we will use plaster of paris to create a foundation on which to apply encaustic. Whether in a two dimensional form or building up to a three dimensional sculpture, creating gobs of texture or smooth dips and valleys, plaster and wax get along very well and bring new life to encaustic possibilities. We will experiment and take time with plaster before working in wax over individual 2D or 3D creations.
