Nancy Michko | Chesterton Art Center Scholarship Winner 2017

The Chesterton Art Center in partnership with the Association of Artists and Craftsmen of Porter County is offering the Gloria Rector Scholarship to a Porter County high school senior graduating in the class of 2018 and planning to attend college to major in an art-related field. The scholarship is named in the memory of Gloria Rector, the first Executive Director of the Chesterton Art Center who passed away in 2017. Gloria was a teacher, artist, visionary, and leader – just a few of the many gifts she shared with the Chesterton Art Center throughout her life.

To apply for this $1000 scholarship, applicants will need to submit a portfolio of work (including both 2D & 3D), sketchbooks or art journals, and an informational form included in the prospectus. All materials must be submitted by April 13 before 3 p.m. The winner will be notified by April 20 and portfolios/sketchbooks can be picked up anytime after April 20.
