If you have wanted to learn watercolor, then this is the class for you. Start from the beginning and learn how to stretch paper, mix colors, what supplies you need, etc. This is a first step class in watercolor.

Join Susan’s painting class and work at your own pace with individual guidance, or a structured class with complete step-by-step instructions.

Susan will teach a one-day workshop on the second Sunday of each month from 10 am to 4:30 pm beginning on April 13. $45/50

FREE SENIOR CITIZEN DRAWING CLASS
Every Monday morning from 10:30 am to noon, you have the opportunity to join Susan Rosso in a free drawing class. The class is sponsored by a donation from the Duneland Resale Shop.

RON MONSMA PASTEL WORKSHOP

Ron Monsma, who juried Art Comp 06, received ”Best in Show” in the 9th Annual Pastel 100 Competition.
His “Collection with Acorns” bested over 4,500 entries. In his interview on the website [www.artistsnetwork.com/article/monsma/] he stressed the importance of the formal organization of a painting. He said the painting begins when the artist sets up the still life. Ron points out that the placement of the objects should not be static. Don’t be afraid to edit out what doesn’t work. Most importantly, a painting is “freezing elements in a moment of time,” unlike other works of art in drama, literature, etc which have a beginning, middle and an end.
