Suzie Rosso will teach a different winter-themed technique each Thursday night in December. Each week, she will cover a new technique that students can use in nearly any 2-D medium – pencil, pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, etc. Here is the schedule –
12/7 Snow – Snow is not just white — it’s an array of colors to make it glisten. Suzie will show students how to paint a winter scene with beautiful shadows and possibly even a snowman!
12/14 Evergreen Trees – Spruces with snow-laden branches are “paintings waiting to happen.” Students will learn how to draw/paint trees that add richness to a winter landscape.
12/21 Cardinals – These birds in a winter setting are always stunning. Participants will learn how to draw/paint them at a bird feeder or in a tree.
The cost for the month of December is $60, with members of the Chesterton Art Center receiving a $15 discount. Students must register and pay at least 24 hours prior to the start of class. The class limit is 10, in order to give each student individual attention. Beginners are welcome. Students are responsible for bringing their own supplies in whatever medium he/she prefers. If there are questions about what supplies to bring, feel free to contact the Chesterton Art Center at 219-926-4711.
The Chesterton Art Center is located at 115 S. 4th St., Chesterton, IN 46304.
(Attendees can receive a full refund up to 2 weeks before class begins. If they cancel less than 2 weeks from the start of class, a participant will be refunded 75% of the class amount as a “store credit” to be used towards another class or gift/art purchase.)
