Sue Coombs will be teaching a Beginning Mosaic class starting March 7 from 6:30-9:00 at the Chesterton Art Center. This 6-week class will cover the basic techniques, tools, and materials used in contemporary mosaics.

Dick Church will be offering a 6-week Beginning/Intermediate Watercolor Class at the Chesterton Art Center starting Friday, February 22 from 10-12.

The Chesterton Art Center will be starting a new session of Monday Night Ceramics on April 1 from 5:30-8:30. During this 5-week class, beginning students will develop fundamental wheel-throwing techniques, while returning students will refine their techniques to create more complex forms.

The Chesterton Art Center is offering Life Drawing Open Studio on Monday nights from 6:30-9:30. A fully clothed model will be provided as the subject matter.

Local painter, Mark VanderVinne, will host Critique Night at the Chesterton Art Center on the first Wednesday of each month. Guests are welcome to show up, with no prior registration required.

Dick Church will be offering a 6-week Beginning/Intermediate Watercolor Class at the Chesterton Art Center starting Friday, April 5 from 10-12. Dick will lead students through a variety of watercolor techniques – a perfect class for the first-time painter or a wonderful refresher for the mildly experienced.

Robyn Feeley will be teaching a 4-week Whimsical Pastel Painting Class to children ages 8-12 starting Saturday, April 6 from 9-11 a.m. at the Chesterton Art Center.

Leslie Cefali will be teaching a 4-week Quilting Gone Wrong class beginning Saturday, April 6 from 1-3. In this class, the traditional quilting rules will be tossed out the window.

The Duneland Weaver’s Guild will host their annual Fashion Show at the Chesterton Art Center on Sunday, April 7 at 2:00. This 70 year-old fiber group consists of approximately 60 members who are interested in not only weaving, but spinning, crocheting, knitting and felting.

The Chesterton Art Center will host work by their children’s classes in an exhibit titled, “Art, Sweet Art” during the month of April. The exhibit will kick off with an Opening Reception on Sunday, April 14 from 2-4 p.m.
