Basket Weaving 101 / Jun 11-25

WHEN: 3-class session / Tuesday, June 11-18 from 6-9 PM + June 25 from 6-7:30 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Cheryl Cavlovic, students will explore the history of basket weaving as they learn about natural materials used in both traditional and modern-day weaving practice. Basic weaving techniques will be taught as students construct a hand-woven D-handle market basket made from reed and customized to their own color choices. The introductory skills from this class will inspire future projects as students gain confidence in their weaving practice, and their handmade basket can even be used to enjoy the Chesterton European Market + other local markets that fill the summer weekends ahead!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

TUITION: $100 for non-members / $90 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10% member discount

SUPPLIES: A $15 material fee is due to the instructor at the first class

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
