Zentangle + Writing Workshop / May 18
WHEN: 1-day workshop / Saturday, May 18 from 10 AM-2 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: With guidance from certified AWA and Zentangle instructor Deb Stipp, students will explore the relationship between drawing and writing and how both creative outlets can lead to a more self-expressive arts practice. The Zentangle Method is a fun, relaxing way to create nonrepresentational drawings through structured patterns known as “tangles” and are created with a combination of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves, and orbs. Students will participate in a series of automatic writing and drawing exercises that encourage quick, unplanned thinking and letting go of perfectionism, developing a more mindful way to make art altogether.
