INSTRUCTOR: Ida Short

DESCRIPTION: Explore the various processes of printmaking and gain confidence in this versatile media. Lessons will cover layered printing with Gelli plates, relief printmaking with hand-carved blocks, letterpress typesetting, and experimenting with a variety of printable surfaces like paper, fabric, and even objects. Students will use their imagination to develop unique designs for each print project, ending with a handmade accordion book that showcases all of their hard work.

CAC is featuring a series of special studio intensives just for teens, ages 13+. Each intensive focuses on a specific media and is designed to challenge students to elevate their current art skills or explore an entirely new practice, becoming a stronger artist altogether.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
