DESCRIPTION: Students will learn about the traditional craft of sewing and how these skills can be transferred to modern-day uses like upcycled fashion, embroidery, or basic mending. Students will learn to stitch by hand as well as on a machine, learning to make, mend, or modify clothing and other fiber goods. Projects will explore both functional and decorative application of stitching techniques.

CAC is featuring a series of special studio intensives just for teens, ages 13+. Each intensive focuses on a specific media and is designed to challenge students to elevate their current art skills or explore an entirely new practice, becoming a stronger artist altogether.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
